Snapchat back online after massive outage — but some users still having problems

It's now looking like Snapchat is slowly coming back online, with users reporting that they can now send full Snapchat messages.

However, some have said the service is still spotty, but our own Henry T. Casey reports Snapchat is working for him. But our staffer Millie Davis-Williams, who's based in the U.K. has reported that Snapchat messages are still not sending for her.

Earlier today a lot of Snapchat users were reporting issues with the service. Down Detector reported problems across the U.S. and U.K., and users took to Twitter to express their frustration about being locked out of their accounts.

The Snapchat Support account tweeted that they are aware of the issues, confirming that something was definitely happening. However now that service to be slowly resuming, it means Snapchat was only down for a few hours.

The login issues didn't affecting everyone, however, since Tom's Guide Editor in Chief Marc McLaren was able to access his account without issue. However people hadn't been kicked out of their account by the outage found that they weren't able to refresh the app or send any messages.

During the outage people naturally took to Twitter to vent their frustrations, or make fun of the entire situation. Because Snapchat being down is far from a rare occurrence.

A lot of people were also fairly concerned that they'd end up losing their streaks because Snapchat went down.

However because Snapchat service is now being restored, it looks like those people didn't have anything to worry about. After all you've got a 24 hour period to maintain your streak.

But let's just hope that we don't have to talk about this problem again for a while.
